Season special is here!
Yes Yes, I maybe a little late to jump on to the Pumpkin holiday food fest, but I am not going to miss out on it. Everywhere I have been looking at Pumpkin related recipes, and so here I am, continuing in line with my "Cool" desserts collection, bringing out ICED PUMPKIN PIE SPICE LATTE. With the right amount of spice and ice, turn this cozy drink into a summer refresher!
For our friends in the other hemisphere, this is Fall season, so I am seeing all kinds of cozy, warm pumpkin based recipes everywhere, which I am sure I will try out next year(hopefully) but keeping in mind the Spring flavour in the air for my fellow Southern hemispherers (if that's a word!) I have switched the warm cozy feeling to a bright, cool one. If you are still in Winter mode, please feel free to just skip the ice, and use hot milk instead, and there you have a snuggle-some drink in your hands 😊
Okay, so I had to discuss this when it comes to Pumpkin pie spice- does it or does it not have pumpkin puree in it?? I did my due diligence before creating this latte, and I was confused, super confused.
Some did use, some did not. Apparently the only important thing in a pumpkin pie spice drink, is the spice mix- and so I did that- tried few combinations of spices as per popular recipes out there. So for this pie spice, I have used, 2 tbsp of ground ginger, ground clove, ground nutmeg, ground cinnamon and ground all spice . you can adjust the ratio as per your liking, but these are the basic spices used.
If you do make this latte, or atleast a version of it, I would love to see that- so please tag me on Instagram.
Hope you enjoy this!
