Three Ingredient Oreo Mousse

Updated: Jul 28, 2020

Oreo all the way!

Calling all the Oreo lovers for this one. You just need three ingredients for this delightfully easy Mousse. This is the perfect last minute dessert if you are expecting some unexpected guests or just when you feel like eating something sweet, without the whole hassle of ingredients or time spending.

All you need is Oreo, whipping cream and sugar- yes, that is it! This is a basic mousse recipe which does not need any jelling agent or eggs, just refrigerate it for 1-2 hours and it is good to go.

I have used mini oreos, just because I found them too cute! It is also important to use heavy whipping cream, so that the mousse is not runny; I use this one. As with most of my recipes, I like to suggest variations that are possible, so for this mousse, you can use Nutella, snickers/kitkat, any chocolate bar- just melt it first and then mix, whip into the cream.

Ingredients

8 Oreo Cookies or 20 mini Oreo cookies

1 ½ Cups Heavy Whipping cream

½ Cups Sugar

Directions

Oreo Mousse

  1. Grind the Oreo cookies until they are finely ground.

  2. In a chilled medium bowl, beat the heavy cream using a hand mixer until thick and medium stiff peaks are formed.

  3. Gradually add in the grounded Oreo crumbs and sugar; and fold into the whipped cream. Save some crumbs for topping.

  4. Place this mixture into a piping bag and refrigerate.

  5. When ready to serve, pipe the mousse into serving bowls, and top it with Oreo crumbs and an Oreo cookie.

  6. Optional: Drizzle some chocolate sauce on top of the mousse.
