Dessert Poutine

Updated: Jul 27, 2020

Can you fool anyone with this dessert not side !

This dessert poutine is my April Fool's day special😁 I am into the whole this looks this but it is not kind of dessert.

At first glance, this may look like the classic Canadian Poutine. Look closer-it is not! It is a combination of toasted Sponge cake(fries) with Marshmallow as cheese curd topped with Caramel sauce aka gravy.

This is such an easy recipe that you can use to prank your kids or anyone. Wont be much of a prank though, because it is tasty, but you get the idea, right?

Now this has left me craving for actual Poutine!

Ingredients

Dessert Poutine

100 gm, Sponge Cake

Caramel Sauce, as desired

Mini Marshmallows

Directions

Dessert Poutine

1. Cut the sponge cake into thin strips(Fries shape).

2. Heat a flat pan for few mins. Place the thin strips of  sponge cake onto the pan, and grill each side for 1-2 mins, giving it a fried/toasted look.

3. Prepare caramel Sauce.

4. Remove sponge cake strips from the pan and place it into a bowl.

5. Top the sponge cake strips with the caramel sauce(aka gravy sauce) and mini marshmallows(aka cheese curds).

6. Tip: Break the bigger pieces of marshmallows into tiny pieces, if yo do not have mini marshmallows.
